1st Ride For Biking 2.0

I completed my 1st ride for Biking 2.0 late last Friday night - a 24.5km loop from Putra Heights to Puchong Industrial Park next to the big lake behind IOI Mall and back to my home.

Its my first time on this route which passed through an industrial area and a posh gated and guarded residential area ... Lakeview if I recall correctly.

Biking 2.0

My biking endeavor had gotten off to a very shaky start ... wait .... it didn't really get anywhere after my attempt to rekindle this pursuit 2 years ago.

See this post.

To continue where I left off, I bought myself a 'real' pair of bicycle lights front and back from Decathlon and re-installed Strava in my new Samsung J2 phone.

And I just re-inflated the tires .....

Let's see how I fare for Biking 2.0

Power of Choice

There's a redemptive power that making a choice has. Decide what you're going to be, who you are going to be and then how you are going to do it. From that point on, the universe is going to get out of your way - so says Will Smith

Not Everything in Lazada is Cheaper

I embarked on some DIY projects last week and went to a nearby hardware store in Section 27 Shah Alam.

The name of the store is CSM. Spanning 4 shoplots, they have a variety of items and the premises is air-conditioned and dust-free which sets it quite apart from the typical neighborhood Chinaman hardware store.

We bought some items and for each of the same, it's actually cheaper in CSM.

For example, a 24mm hole saw is selling for RM14 in Lazada but I can get it cheaper in CSM at RM12.40. Similarly, for a Stanley glue gun, CSM is selling for RM53.80 compared to Lazada's selling price at RM72.00 - for a lower wattage model.

Whats Beyond the Horizon

Feels like its time for me to re-think and scan the landscape ahead. Even better if I could anticipate what's beyond the horizon. After that, to prepare my inventory list - to tick off the boxes for what I must bring along and those that is good to have but may not be absolutely essential.

Everyone should stop every now and then to sit down and plan.

Its good to do this unless you do not mind waking up one morning to realize that where you are is not where you really want to be.

Be wise and plan ahead to avoid disappointments.

Road Ahead

Sometimes the road (your life) is not as evident as promised or you thought it would be.

Adapt. Improvise and being able to change the negative into the positive is surely something we had to learn.

And still are. It is a continuous process throughout life we have to endure ups and downs. Being able to enjoy the ups and downs makes our lives a whole lot easier.

Tour on a Bicycle

How do one travel on the cheap for months in a foreign country?

Use a bicycle to connect cities, towns and the countryside.

Camp often.

Eat simply.
